☆ BEAUTY EXPERIMENT ☆ Baking Soda to strip off hair dye

I'm sure everyone has heard of at least one way on how to use Baking soda as a beauty tool, whether it is as a facial cleanser, dry shampoo, natural deodorant or just to clean makeup brushes.
I myself love using household items as beauty tools so I decided i would try out the different usages for Baking soda.

So here's the first experiment, Baking Soda to remove semipermanent Hair colors

As you probably know if you're following me on any of my social networks you will know that i love to dye my hair with 'Directions' colors.
I have just recently dyed my hair Turquoise and purple but the purple faded out quite quickly and all that was left was light purple/pink and the turquoise faded into a greenish color.
Since my roots are way to big now i decided to not just dye my hair again but to bleach my roots.

Gross, I know

So I did some researches and found alot of tips on how to remove hair dye yet all of them seemed too damaging. There are certain shampoos and hair dye stripping tools but they seem to be way to harsh on the hair.
Since I know that baking soda is often used to bleach stuff (skin, theeth..) i looked it up and eventually found something.

It is really easy you just have to wash your hair with hot water,  mix a Tbs of baking soda with 1 Tbs Shampoo  (make sure it isn't color protection shampoo as you want to remove the color not protect it) and apply it to your hair then leave it on for 2-5 minutes max.
Rinse it out with again hot water and make sure you condition your hair, as the baking soda will make your hair feel a bit dry.

So after i did this all of the purpel/pink was gone and the green faded quite alot also ( it's still not completely gone but oh well)

Baking soda does not only lift the color but it also leaves your hair super clean !

I don't recomend you to use this method more than 2 times a month tho because you don't want  to damage your hair.

Anyways, I will continue my baking soda experiments soon so stay tuned for more ^^

☆ HAIR UPDATE ☆ Short Haired Mermaid

School has been keeping me so busy i dont't even get to blog properly i am so sorry >-<

Anywaaays..
I decided to update you guys on my freshly dyed hair (well it was already some days ago actually).

I know I know.. my roots look pretty horrible because my hair has grown out alot already but since I
have no time & money for Hairdresser lately i just decided to dye them while i can't bleach my roots.

Sooo what i used was Directions Plum and Turquoise.
I diluted them in hair conditioner so that the colors would be a little more pastel..
I simply parted my hair into two sections, Upper and Lower section. I started applying the color on the lower section first and then slowly applied it to the upper section always making sure that both sections don't touch so that the colors won't mix.

well they turned out quite strong anyways but the color will fade out quickly so i'm not even going to bother about it, plus everyone said I look like some kind of Punk Mermaid. How does this even look like a Punk ?

Wheep Selfies (/>o<)/ imageimageimage

That's it for now. I will definitely make longer posts once i have more time.
Untill then, Stay Cute image
